What England can learn from India in white-ball cricket

After the drawn one-day series against South Africa, new captain Jos Buttler expressed frustration at the lack of training time available in an outrageously tight schedule. At that point, England had just played six ODIs and three T20ls in the space of just 18 days, and had a three-match T20I series to follow over the next week with the first and second matches on consecutive days.

This is a legitimate concern, and it’s true that England have one of the busiest schedules in world cricket – as we’ll see in some of the numbers listed below. But they are not the only ones with this problem, and they would do well to look at how India are managing the same problem.
