On January 18 (Tuesday) at the Buet Council Building, two memorandums of understanding (MoU) was signed in order to execute joint research and innovation works in the electronics and hi-tech products manufacturing sector between Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) and country’s electronics giant Walton.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Satya Prasad Majumder on behalf of BUET and Chairman SM Rezaul Alam behalf of Walton DG-Tech Industries Ltd inked one MoU. On the other hand, the another MoU was signed between Walton Hi-Tech’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Golam Murshed and RISE’s Director Prof Dr Muhammad Anisuzzaman Talukder.
In the event, along with awarding scholarship money, laptops and desktop computer for students, Walton handed over the research project to BUET. It is expected that through making the best use of this initiative of working jointly it will be possible to turn Walton into a top brand soon.
Earlier in 2021, Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET), Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET), Islamic University of Technology (IUT) and Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) also severally inked the MoUs with Walton to unitedly run research and work on upliftment of locally made hi-tech product’s technologies.
