SAT, a standardized exam widely used for college admissions in the USA, will be conducted digitally this year for international students and in 2024 for USA students. The first trial of digital SAT took place last year in November and as per the College Board most of the students partaking in the trial felt it more comfortable.
Like the offline tests of the previous years this new digital test is still going to be graded out of 1600. But the time duration has been lessen from 3 hours to 2 hours. For the entire math section, calculators have been declared allowed. Besides, this time students are going to get their result in a day instead of a week.
This digital test method will allow every student to get an unique test form, so it will be effectively improbable to share answers to anyone. In case an examinee loses connectivity during exam, the digital SAT has been designed in such a way that it will ensure they won’t lose their work or time when they are reconnected .
The representatives of College Board prospect that this new mending will make cheating tougher for the students while making the test experience ductile.
