Custom officials detained a man travelling with 6 kg gold worth Tk 4 crore at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport today.
The man landed in Dhaka from Saudi Arabia on a Saudi Airlines flight at 11:30 pm on Friday. The gold bars were found in his handbag, and were detected when he was passing the green channel of the airport.
The passenger is identified by the name of Rakibul Hasan, and his hometown is Comilla.
He was handed over to Airport police for further investigation on the case.
