Bangladesh received a huge blow as opener Litton Das has been ruled out from the ongoing ODI series against Zimbabwe due to his hamstring injury.
Litton sustained the injury during the three-match series opener against Zimbabwe in Harare, which the hosts won by 5 wickets. Litton , who scored 81 runs, sustained the injury while picking up a single and was forced to retire hurt.
“Liton is ruled out from the tour of Zimbabwe,” BCB chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu told on Friday.
Bangladesh batting strength will be effected due to Litton’s absence as he had been consistently among the runs in the recent past.
There are also concerns over the availability of pace bowler Shoriful Islam, who failed to complete his full quota of overs in the three-match ODI series opener due to a shin injury that he sustained during the game .
