Students of the Mechanical Engineering Department of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) have made a racing car out of jute fiber, named ‘Kiloflight Alpha’.
In 3 years of hard work, the students managed to make the car’s body and various important part with eco-friendly products and ensured that it is completely safe to drive. The racing car can drive upto 162 kilometers per hour.
Recently, the racing car took part in a UK competition called “Formula Student”
Third year student of the engineering department of the university, Saimum, says, “The team was created in 2018, and the process of assembling the car completed in the month July of 2021″
Another student, Mohidul Islam, says, “We are the first group from Bangladesh to participate in Formula Student competition in UK. We hope to perform better in the future.”
