To keep up with the flow of innovation among the youth and keep pace with the modern civilized world and have a wide range of knowledge about the newly invented technology, Astronomy & Science Society of RUET are organizing IEEE YESIST12 Innovation Challenge Track Pilot 2021.
As its the time of COVID-19, the whole program will be organizing virtually. Winners from the Pilot round will compete in the final.
Rules:
1) Team size: Maximum of 4 members.
2) Team members may come from different academic institutions/industries and different countries. Only registered team members will receive the certificate. Mentor names should also accompany the team registration.
3) Teams are locked along with abstract submission and no further changes can be made to team members and mentors after that.
4) Teams shall present their working projects virtually, explain and demonstrate to the audience and evaluators.
5) The evaluation will be based on the following criteria: Novelty / Innovation, Participant’s knowledge of concept/market demand, Technical implementation, Expandability of the project idea/prototype to an actual product or solution, Clarity of pitch.
6) Plagiarism in any form or at any stage is strictly prohibited.
7) Each team is solely responsible for its cooperation and teamwork.
***The projects can be a software solution or hardware integrated.
Project scope:
The projects can have applications in any of the following domains of UN Sustainable Development Goals or new domains there having (but not limited to):
- Uplifting societal standards,
- Disaster prediction and risk management,
- Special needs and healthcare,
- Women and children safety,
- Natural resource management and protection,
- Geographical and space science, or
- Any other projects based on HTA
Under these, the projects can be mobile apps or software/hardware/IoT based.
Prizes:
Champion: 25000 BDT
1st Runner-up: 15000 BDT
2nd Runner-up: 10000 BDT
