Krishna Rani Sarker, Monika Chakma, Rituparna Chakma, and Nilufa Yesmin Nila, the four of Bangladesh Women’s football team players are now covid-19 victims. They tested positive. All of the four players are playing for Bashundhara Kings this season. The camp was called off after the government had announced lockdown. Including them, 21 of the national team players are playing for the Kings this season. After the Bashundhara Kings’ camp was called off, the Women footballers were taken to the Bangladesh Football Federation’s (BFF) building where they were screened. That’s when these four players tested positive. The Women’s Football League was called off on April 5 due to Covid-19. They have isolated themselves at the BFF residential camp and are taking the necessary treatments.
