The schools and colleges finally reopened after a long 17 months.
As usual, students had to wake up, get ready and prepare their bags for the day. But this time, the story was different. The parents didn’t have to wake them up and push them all the way to the class. They went willingly. The excitement to see their friends in person, sit in the classroom, wear the uniform; all these feelings worked differently today. The whole of Bangladesh became lively and full of colors & noise once again. The cities became functional with the student crowd at different points of the road waiting for the transports. We again got to see the future leaders in their proud uniforms heading towards their destination.
The teachers’ and institutions’ efforts in maintaining all the safety precautions and yet giving a warm reception and a grand welcome to their students was a unique approach. Many institutions were decorated to welcome the students. Many institutions gave away chocolates to their students. HSC candidates, students of class – XII, students of secondary level; all were thrilled to visit their institute. The institutions highly guarded the safety distance and checked the temperature of the students before letting them in. The students’ sincerity left everyone in wonder. Carrying pocket sanitizers and being conscious made us feel proud of the executive of the decision.
Today, teachers and students had a fun time and a light conversion. Gradually, the whole academic activity will start in full swing. Students will be given time, care, and enough affection to cope up with this situation. Everything is going back to normal. There will be a slight change, and that is always to put on a mask and maintain cleanliness.
The students and teachers greatly missed the affected students, and we all hope for their quick recovery. All the students are expected to start their academic studies gradually.
But for today, it’s a happy day for the students. The joy of wearing the uniform, going to school/college, getting to see friends and teachers, gossiping, cracking jokes, laughing freely with friends, and going home walking with each other makes them feel alive after an age!
