Leen is a brilliant student with multiple titles already attached to her name. Along with studies, her involvement with multiple organizations is taking her to unique heights day by day. Acts as a presenter and language trainer as well as regularly engages in debate and public speaking. Leen has been fairly successful in every respect, winning a variety of awards. The story of her achievements is being highlighted in NNO News.
For Leen, her definition of achievement or success is different from others. Becoming a favorite student of teachers, becoming the biggest source of hope for younger siblings, making parents smile is her biggest achievement. She also has many notable achievements in the conventional sense. Served as class captain for 8 years, received awards from Bishwa Sahitya Kendra for 5 consecutive years, worked as presenter with T-sports production. Apart from winning the honor of being the best speaker in the debate competition, she also works as a language trainer.
If reviewed from the academic side, it can be seen that she’s an ideal and talented student there as well. Leen has achieved a GPA of 5.00 in each board examination. She’s also a member of the recently viral Viqarunnisa Noon School & College song team ‘AMRA’. “My greatest achievement will be to fulfill my mother’s dream and I’m moving towards fulfilling this dream. With everyone’s good wishes and prayers, I will reach my goal,” said Leen. Leen talked to NNO in detail about how Leen’s journey was, how he progressed towards success. She also talked about her childhood story of growing up with mischief.
Actually Leen has been very adventurous since childhood. She was very fond of reading fiction books since childhood, adding another love to her mother as a reading companion. According to her mother, she’s a good singer but due to some family constraints, she didn’t have the opportunity to study music formally. However, Leen has no regrets about it. She spent her childhood happily with his parents and younger siblings.
Leen began her journey into debate, presentation and public speaking while still in high school. For 5 years (6th to 10th standard) was associated with Bishwa Sahitya Kendra’s book reading program. Worked as a volunteer at Bishwa Sahitya Kendra along with class captaincy. Leen used to make announcements in different classes in that process and strangely enough the teachers present in almost every class praised her speech. Gradually, she gained popularity among the juniors as well. Being a regular student and captain, Leen was also loved by the teachers.
While studying in the 10th standard, a teacher from the English department of Wills Little Flower School and College asked her to work with “Club 68 Thousand”. Her assigned job was to teach Chemistry to class IX-X and also serve as CAO. This is where her foray into social media began. In line with this, Leen went as a speaker at the ‘Pratishthanik Chad Krishi’ event organized by ‘Club 68 Thousand’ and the chairman of ‘UNIQUE SUN INTERNATIONAL FAMILY’ invited her to come to public speaking. From there her journey to become a debater, presenter and speaker added new dimensions.
During the lockdown, Leen started public speaking with people from different countries internationally through Facebook Live. She found it a bit bitter at first as everything was conducted in English. After gradually becoming exhausted, she proceeded towards the presentation. Leen is currently working as a senior host on the platform. So far the chairman of ‘UNIQUE SUN INTERNATIONAL FAMILY’ Rabiul Islam Rabi has contributed the most in this journey. It was by his hand that Leen’s journey on this path began and is still ongoing. In the future, Leen expressed his desire to keep presenting as a side profession.
You are a student of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College and a captain as well, how was your college life overall? In response to such a question, Leen said, “College life is very special for me. You may be surprised to hear that I love 2 years of college life more than 10 years of school life. Soon after the 2020 SSC exam, everything was stopped due to the outbreak of Covid-19. My college life started during the lockdown. There was no end of worry about how everyone would be in the new college, how they would get along with everyone.
Although I never had much trouble adjusting to a new place. I met everyone online, gradually the conversation increased and then I started getting to know everyone day by day. My section was G-Science, the name was rolled according to the first letter of 17. Then I started getting to know the respected teachers one by one in the Facebook live class. Notice of captain selection is given during online college life. 6 captains will be selected for 150 students. I submitted my name as a candidate based on 6 years captaincy experience in school life.
A total of 25-30 candidates submitted their names. Then came CV preparation and viva. I never expected to be selected. Words cannot express how happy I was the day I found out I was selected. 6 years of school life was joined with captaincy and 2 more years of college life. After that, every moment of almost normal college life was very dear to me. I received a lot of love from my highly respected teachers and my classmates were also very supportive.
Doing practicals together, singing songs together in off period, telling stories, hanging out in tiffin time or after college holidays in the field designated for seniors, lying on the green grass and enjoying the beauty of nature, rehearsing songs for college functions, especially for team ‘AMRA’. Every moment of the accompanying rehearsal is worth remembering. Not even for a day did this premises feel like a stranger to me, but every moment I felt like it was my eternal refuge.”
In response to a question about how the presentation journey was, Leen said, “I always feel free to talk about being an extrovert. Presentation is a matter where speech and mannerisms are key. In the beginning I followed my seniors in this matter. I used to watch my presentation again and again and try to understand where it is going wrong. I used to talk to myself. I would look at myself in the mirror and check my speech to see how I could present myself better, how I could hold the audience longer when I spoke.
Success in all things depends on practice. The person I’m today is the result of years of experience gained through hundreds of Facebook Live sessions, school-college presentations, T-Sports productions and presentations organized by various organizations. Not by any class or course, I have always learned from my mistakes. My mom and respected Rabi sir helped me a lot in this regard. I still have a lot to learn, I want to learn more.”
Basically she’s a introspective girl. She likes to experiment herself in different ways. She has been associated with various co-curricular activities so far. These include presentation, debate, public speaking, language training, singing and art (sketching and painting). She loves teaching and learning. Her wish is to fulfill his mother’s dream, thats her goal. She wants to see herself the way his mother dreams of seeing her child. The goal is to become a successful and ideal person in any profession, be it a doctor or an engineer.
